The work of Franzis Wiese focuses on the reenacting of theatrical situations.She produces film, theatre and
installations, which are all coming out of a site-specific aproach. By adding existing elements within these
spaces she creates new atmospherical installations.

During her residence in the MediumGallery Wiese will explore the space and give it a new mysterious atmosphere.
By using audio, existing situations are transformed into theatrical happenings.

Franzis Wiese (D,1977) studied at the art academies in Enschede (Monumental Department) and Vienna (Transmedia Art).
Between 2001 and 2005 and participated in the master program Scenography at the Frank Mohr Institute (2005-2007).
She lives and works in Groningen.
